WHAT IS SCAR CAMOUFLAGE?

Scar camouflage is a tattoo. We tattoo the inside of the scar to match the surrounding tissue, and this camouflages the area.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?

Scar camouflage can be done on a wide range of scarring. The single most important part is that the scar must be very light in color or white. Pink and brown scarring cannot be tattooed. We color the scar to match the surrounding skin so the scar must be lighter than the skin around it. We then color the scar area to match the skin and this is what camouflages it. You would be a good candidate if the scar in the skin is almost the same tone. Tattooing dark scarring often does not work and can result in scar darkening (hyperpigmentation).

DOES IT HURT?

Topical numbing is applied to the area. As with any tattoo, discomfort is dependent on each individual. Some clients report no pain and some report minor discomfort.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Please send photos into temptationsbrowsandbeyond@yahoo.com to be considered for scar camouflage. Once you’ve been approved and given a quote, you book your appointment and pay your $125 non-refundable deposit. Your first appointment will entail a consultation after which you will be tattooed. A six week follow up/ touch up appointment is required and included.

CAN YOU TATTOO STRETCHMARKS?

Some stretch marks can be tattooed if they are white, and the surrounding skin is at least two shades darker than the stretch mark itself. Please email us photos for consideration to temptationsbrowsandbeyond@yahoo.com.

CAN YOU TATTOO SELF-INFLICTED SCARRING?

Some of these scars can be tattooed if they are white and the surrounding skin is at least two shades darker than the scar itself. Please email us photos for consideration to temptationsbrowsandbeyond@yahoo.com .

CAN YOU TATTOO FACIAL TISSUE AND LIPS?

This is actually the easiest place for scar camouflage. Please email photos to temptationsbrowsandbeyond@yahoo.com to be considered.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Prices vary and are dependent on the area and size of camouflaging required.
